AIDAN ATE WEIRD STUFF IN ICELAND

AIDAN ATE WEIRD STUFF IN ICELAND

After several days exploring the Golden Circle, Breakfast at Le Bistro in downtown Rekyjavik was the perfect wrap-up. Don, Jan, Tor and I placed a round of rather subdued orders (fruit, toast, baguettes with jam), but it was Aidan who led the way by requesting a platter of traditional Icelandic bounty (clockwise from top): a shot of cod-liver oil, ham, scrambled eggs (hiding beneath slab of grilled chicken), flatbreadskyr (Icelandic yogurt with granola), blood pudding, grilled tomatoes and potatoes, pickled cabbage.

Aidan was kind enough to share so we  found that the array was rather delicious; even the blood pudding was surprisingly tasty ...
